Simone Duncan is the eldest daughter of Apostle Dr. J. Vernon Duncan and Apostle Dr. Joycelyn Duncan of Divine Encounter Fellowship Ministries International (DEFMI) located in Trinidad & Tobago. She is also the granddaughter of the late Dr. Levi Duncan and Reverend Laurencia Duncan and the great-grandaughter of Rev. Elton cox.

For the past 5 years, Simone has served in the capacity of Minister at Triumphant Full Gospel Assembly (TFGA) located in Brooklyn, New York under the leadership and tutelage of Apostle Lilia A. Bayne and Bishop Melvin E. Bayne, Sr. At church, she has served as the junior girls’ Sunday school teacher, co-teacher of the new believers' class, member of the intercessory team and the single's ministry.

Simome has a bachelor of science degree in psychology as well as two masters degrees: one in educational psychology and the other in educational leadership with an emphasis in supervision and administration. She holds certifications in the state of New Jersey as a teacher, a school psychologist, an instructional supervisor and a school principal. Simone currently functions in the capacity of a school psychologist at an urban high school, advocating for at-risk youth with and without learning and emotional challenges.
